Formalities related to a Facility Security Clearance (FSC)

A Company taking part in a contract, program or project that implies handling classified information with the following levels “CONFIDENTIAL or equivalent”, “SECRET or equivalent” or “TOP SECRET or equivalent” must request a FSC.

Current legislation establishes that, to handle Classified Information with Restricted or equivalent level in the industrial field, a specific authorization is needed. Should the classified information to be accessed of “RESTRICTED or equivalent” level, the Company must submit a Security Declaration for Restricted level access.

Once the company has been granted a valid FSC or the Declaration of Responsibility for access Restricted information has been accepted, it is subject to specific obligations listed in the NSO regulation and NSO procedures/orientations.

The individual appointed by the company as the Head of the Protection Service for Classified Information or the Manager for Restricted Information is responsible for all previous procedures and must manage them via this website.
